With a nationwide shortage of OB-GYNs and number of Florida counties now classified as maternity care deserts, Sarasota Memorial Health Care System is doubling down on its efforts to help bridge the gap. Today, it opened a new Pregnancy and Wellness Center to support women lacking essential prenatal care, and to build on the efforts of the Pregnancy Care Team SMH launched last summer.
