Breast Cancer Care Team
At Sarasota Memorial Cancer Institute, each patient is matched with a hand-picked team of specialists to leverage the full extent of the care providers’ experience and expertise in diagnosing and treating even the most challenging cancers. Patient care teams and care plans are specifically tailored to fit the needs, goals and case details of each patient.
Our breast cancer care teams typically include surgeons, diagnostic radiologists specialized in breast imaging, interventional radiologists, medical and radiation oncologists, pathologists, oncology nurses, an oncology patient navigator, an oncology-certified social worker, palliative medicine specialists and a board-certified genetic counselor, as well as nurses, dietitians and clinicians who provide patient support.
