Disorders of the gastrointestinal tract — which can involve the esophagus, stomach, small and large intestine, liver, pancreas, biliary tree and colon — affect millions of people each year.

The new Sarasota Memorial Health Care Center at Hillview provides patients with convenient, centralized access to a range of screening, diagnostic, therapeutic and medical treatments for digestive diseases, including cancer and other illnesses that affect the gastrointestinal system.

Prevention and early detection of cancerous (malignant) disorders can be life-saving. Getting the right diagnosis and help managing noncancerous (benign) diseases can profoundly improve your quality of life. Endoscopic and/or endosonographic evaluation of the intestinal tract is often required for proper diagnosis and disease management.
