Whether you’ve had a heart attack or heart transplant, asthma or emphysema, our team of cardiovascular and pulmonary specialists will review your personal and medical history and customize a program to meet your individual needs and personal health goals.

Ornish Reversal Program/ Intensive Cardiac Rehabilitation

Sarasota Memorial also offers an intensive cardiac rehab program as part of Dr. Ornish's Program for Reversing Heart Disease. Covered by Medicare, the nine-week program combines intensive cardiac rehabilitation, meal preparation based on the Ornish Diet (rated as the best diet for heart health by U.S. News & World Report); stress management techniques; and social support for those who want to lower their cholesterol, blood pressure and reverse cardiovascular disease without medications or surgery.
