SARASOTA, Fla. (Dec. 17, 2018) — Sarasota Memorial Health Care System recently welcomed Stephanie Cabello, MD, into its First Physicians Group (FPG) network and community.
This week, Dr. Cabello joins FPG’s Internal Medicine practice with Drs. Sherri Sanders and Brunel Gomez de Tavarez. She came to FPG after practicing for seven years at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center in Wilkes Barre, Penn., where she served as the director of the outpatient Internal Medicine Department. Dr. Cabello also has worked as a clinical associate professor at Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine in Scranton, Penn., and provided inpatient and outpatient care at Keystone Internal Medicine in Chambersburg, Penn.
Dr. Cabello is board certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine and is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians. She earned her medical degree at the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines, in 2001, and completed her medical internship at Veterans Memorial Medical Center in Manila. She completed her residency training in Internal Medicine at Rochester General Hospital in Rochester, N.Y., in 2007. Among other honors, she is regularly recognized as a top patient experience clinician by Press Ganey in 2013, 2014, 2016, 2017 and 2018.
