SARASOTA (June 25, 2019) – Sarasota Memorial Health Care System welcomed a new pediatrician to its First Physicians Group (FPG) network and community.
Deirdra Miguel Myers, MD, began accepting new patients at FPG Pediatrics at Lakewood Ranch this month. She joins pediatricians Katherine Keeley, MD, and Jose Tavarez, MD.
Dr. Myers has worked as a pediatrician since 2017, providing medical and preventive care to infants, children and adolescents in outpatient and inpatient settings in Las Cruces, N.M. She earned her medical degree in 2006 from the University of Perpetual Help System Dr. Jose G. Tamayo Medical University, in Binan Laguna, Philippines, where she graduated first in her class and received the Dr. Jose G. Tamayo Clinical Excellence Award. In 2017, Dr. Myers completed internship and residency training in Pediatrics at St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital at St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in Paterson, N.J. During her residency, she was awarded the Continuity Clinic Award for Excellence in Ambulatory Care. Bilingual in English and native Filipino, Dr. Myers is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics.
