Sarasota Memorial, under the leadership of Chief Operating Officer Lorrie Liang, is gearing up for the American Diabetes Association’s Southwest Florida “Tour de Cure” April 9 in Lakewood Ranch.  Won’t you consider joining Team SMH?

 Tour de Cure is a bike ride, not a race and there are routes for people of all levels of cycling experience, including a kid-friendly 10-mile route.  Tour de Cure raises funds to support life-changing and lifesaving research and educational programs right here in Southwest Florida.  Diabetes is a growing problem in our community and we need to lead the effort to stop diabetes.

 Cycling in the tour is fun and easy.  To join Team SMH go to: main.diabetes.org/goto/teamsmh  and use the discount code SWFL5 for $5 off the $25 registration fee.  Do you live with diabetes?  You’re a Red Rider!  Make sure to choose this option when you register to receive recognition and earn Red Rider exclusives, including your jersey.

 Team SMH has set a fund-raising goal of $5,000.  With your help, we can work to find a cure for diabetes!  To participate, all riders are required to raise a $200 minimum (in addition to the registration fee) and will receive the 2017 Tour de Cure t-shirt, along with a continental breakfast, healthy lunch, finish line medal and photos.  New Team SMH riders who raise the $200 minimum will receive a Team SMH bike jersey while supplies last!
