SMH Cancer Team Offers New Treatment for Life-Threatening Brain Tumors

Sarasota Memorial Hospital has begun the use of a novel technology, GammaTile Therapy, to target and treat malignant tumors inside the brain. It is the first new FDA-cleared treatment for brain tumors since 2011 The hospital is one of about 100 treatment centers across the nation, and the first in southwest Florida, to offer the new treatment option.
