Mission

Our mission is to provide a friendly, welcoming and positive environment for all people whose lives have been affected by aphasia. This mission is achieved by offering support through monthly meetings, guest speakers, networking and social activities. Our goal is to provide a forum where individuals with aphasia can feel comfortable and it is our hope that through this forum, long lasting friendships can be made.

Aphasia

Aphasia is a loss of the ability to understand language and/or use language for speaking or writing.  It can be caused by stroke, traumatic brain injury or other damage to the brain.

Suncoast Aphasia Support Group

The support group includes people with aphasia and their spouses, families and friends.  It is as much for the person with aphasia as it is for their caregiver.
