SARASOTA, Fla. – Sarasota Memorial is welcoming a new internal medicine/pediatrics physician and a new physical medicine and rehabilitation physician to our First Physicians Group (FPG) network this month.

Lindsey Finnegan, MD, FAAP, is joining the FPG Internal Medicine and Pediatrics Practice at Blackburn Point Health Care Center, where she will see patients alongside Patrick Begley, DO; Rachel Dahlborg, MD; Karen Hamad, MD; Alan King, DO; Sarah Scarselletta, MD; John Wassenaar, MD; Joseph Yeh, MD; and Nicole Eggebrecht, APRN. Board-certified in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics, Dr. Finnegan provides adult patients with ongoing care for chronic conditions ranging from high blood pressure to diabetes, as well as regular check-ups and screenings. For children, Dr. Finnegan provides annual check-ups and immunizations, newborn nursery care, as well as generalized care for pediatric conditions such as asthma, acute illness, ADHD and more. She received her medical degree from Brody School of Medicine in Greenville, NC, in 2010, and completed her Internal Medicine/Pediatrics residency at Greenville’s Vidant Medical Center in 2014.

Board-certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and fellowship-trained in Interventional Spine and Sports Medicine, Steven Papuchis, DO, is joining the healthcare team at the Sarasota Memorial Rehabilitation Pavilion, where he will provide care on an inpatient basis. Developing patient-centered plans for those facing neurological or orthopedic/musculoskeletal conditions, Dr. Papuchis specializes in musculoskeletal medicine, cancer rehabilitation, electrodiagnosis and spasticity treatment, including the therapeutic use of Botox. He received his medical degree from the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine-Bradenton in 2014. He completed his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Louisville in 2018, followed by an Interventional Spine and Sports Medicine fellowship at New York City’s Hospital for Special Surgery in 2019.
