Sarasota Memorial Health Care System has special volunteer opportunities for teens, ages 14-18. Teens are assigned to the departments of Child Care, Discharge Services, Clinical Research, Gift Shop, as well as serving at the Waldemere service desk where they deliver flowers, mail and run errands for the nursing staff.
Please note: The deadline for returning completed forms to participate in the TAV class for the Summer Session is Friday, May 14, 2010. Space is limited for the Summer Class and applicants will be accepted on a first come basis. Summer session is very short. If teens will be involved in Summer School, Sports, Camps or extensive travel, we request that they defer volunteering to the Fall. A 7-week commitment is necessary for the summer. Orientation will be held on Monday, June 7, 2010 from 2:00pm - 4:30pm.
