SARASOTA, Fla. (Oct. 4, 2019) – Sarasota Memorial Health Care System introduced Kristopher Jensen, MD to its First Physicians Group (FPG) network and community in September.
Dr. Jensen specializes in family medicine for patients of all ages and has joined Meghan Buhler, MD at FPG’s new primary care practice in Venice. He comes to Sarasota from the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington, Vt., where he taught as an assistant professor in its Family Medicine Department. He received his medical degree from Emory University in Atlanta in 1990, prior to serving as an undersea medical officer with the U.S. Navy in Italy until 1995. Dr. Jensen completed his residency in Family Medicine with the University of Vermont in 1998. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and spent more than 20 years volunteering his time as a physician volunteer at health and wellness clinics in Vermont. He has participated in practice improvement initiatives for asthma, COPD, and other chronic conditions.
