SARASOTA, Fla. (Oct. 15, 2019) – Sarasota Memorial Health Care System has welcomed two Venice pediatricians from the former Sunshine Pediatric Care practice – Azima Khan, MD, and Susan R. Mihm, MD – to its First Physicians Group (FPG) network.
Dr. Khan received her medical degree in 1992 from Aga Khan University in Pakistan. She completed a pediatric internship and residency at Westchester County Medical Center in Valhalla, N.Y., in 1997. Her experience includes teaching as a clinical assistant professor for Florida State University College of Medicine since 2008 and over 20 years as a private practice physician. Dr. Khan is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and has completed research to improve pediatric management of common conditions, including ADHD and asthma.
A fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Dr. Mihm received her medical degree in 1992 from the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine. In 1995, she completed a pediatric residency and internship with Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. She taught as a clinical instructor and assistant professor for Baylor College of Medicine and currently holds a position as a clinical assistant professor for Florida State University College of Medicine.
