Jess' story

I've been coming to the Siesta Key/Sarasota area for all of my almost 30 years of life. I've been very lucky that neither I nor my family has had to frequent SMH. After what I thought was just spraining my ankle at the airport when arriving for my week vacation from Iowa, it didn't feel like just a sprain. I was in a room in less than 10 minutes. After a bit of a wait - which I didn't mind; it's an ER things get busy, I finally saw "my" doctor, Dr. Joel Gerber. Talk about blown away! His bedside manner was amazing; he listened to what I was saying. He made me feel like I was back home, not sitting in a hospital on my first day of vacation.

Thanks to all involved, especially Dr. Gerber for helping me get fixed up and on my way to healing so my vacation wasn't miserable. I know that I have a hospital that I can trust when I'm visiting my home away from home.
