Sarasota Memorial Health Care System has special volunteer opportunities for teens, ages 14-18. Teens are assigned to the departments of Child Care, Central Transport, Central Service, Gift Shop, as well as serving at the Waldemere service desk where they deliver flowers, mail and run errands for the nursing staff.
Teenage volunteer classes are held in October and May. Applications are sent two weeks prior to the quarterly class.
Please note: The deadline for returning completed forms to participate in the TAV class is Friday, May 2, 2008. Orientation will be held on Saturday May 17 from 9:00am -12:00pm.
Important Dates:
Application Deadline: Friday, May 2, 2008: We are sorry, but we cannot accept late applications.
Hospital Orientation: Saturday, May 17, 2008: Must attend to participate in Summer program!
Department Orientation: See Instructional Letter for dates and times. Must attend both Hospital and Departmental orientations to participate in Teen Volunteer Program!
