Sarasota Memorial Stroke Center of Excellence
is pleased to
offer the Stroke Center Support Group
The group is specially designed to provide education, support and
socialization for survivors of stroke and their families. Recovery
from a stroke depends on the amount and location of brain injury, the
medical care the person receives and the person's general health.
An
individual's personality and emotional state together with the support
of friends and loved ones are major aspects of stroke recovery. That
is why a separate family group meets during part of the stroke support
session. Separating into groups provides a time for family members to
talk with other families about their own challenges in providing care
and support.
Members of the Sarasota Memorial Stroke Center of Excellence offer
clinical expertise, professional group facilitation and education.
