SARASOTA, Fla. (Jan. 9, 2012) Sarasota Memorial Healthcare Foundation, Inc. is introducing its inaugural Women & Medicine Luncheon on Jan. 20, 2012, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., at the Sarasota Yacht Club. Ann Charters and Sandra Schumacher are co-chairing this event which will focus on current and future treatment options relating to brain research and neuro-regenerative procedures and future research.

In a conversation-like format, guests will have the opportunity to ask questions and address issues with experts in this field. Featured presenters are James Schumacher, M.D., of Sarasota Memorial Health Care System and Harvard University; Ole Isacson, M.D., Ph.D., from Harvard University; and Penelope Hallett, Ph.D., from Cambridge, UK, and Harvard University. Hosting sponsors are PNC Bank and Gulf Coast Community Foundation.
