Sarasota Memorial Healthcare Foundation, Inc
Three Decades of Advancement
1976 - 2007
Since 1976, the Healthcare Foundation has granted in excess of $32 million for state-of-the-art technology, patient care, facilities, education and research for the Sarasota community. More recently, our philanthropy had supported the renovated and expanded Emergency Care Center; breast health through the funding of digital mammography units; a new state-of-the-art surgical microscope advancing spine surgery and neurosurgery; and a robotically-assisted surgical system for minimally invasive heart, prostate and uterine surgeries. We’ve ensured that each baby born at Sarasota Memorial Hospital receives a hearing assessment. And, we have funded a mobile intensive care transport unit for the Sarasota Memorial Heart Institute. For more than three decades, we’ve been touching lives in sometimes small and sometimes very significant ways—and we plan to continue.
