Scholarship Opportunities

Russell Scholarship

The Eluned and Edward Russell Charitable Foundation has donated $30,000 to assist Sarasota Memorial Hospital employees who are pursuing their RN studies.  Applicants must be employees in good standing, have a minimum of three years’ continuous employment, and have a special financial need.  Monies awarded from the Russell Foundation would be in addition to standard Tuition Reimbursement rates.  All applications will be reviewed by the Educational Reimbursement Committee on a monthly basis. 

Leslie Glass Scholarship

Leslie Glass has donated $15,000 to assist Sarasota Memorial Hospital employees who are pursuing a nursing degree.  Applicants must be employees in good standing and have a special financial need.  Monies awarded from the Glass Scholarship would be in addition to standard Tuition Reimbursement rates.  All applications will be reviewed by the Educational Reimbursement Committee on a monthly basis.

Burruss Scholarship

Burruss Scholarship has been developed to help individuals seeking a nursing degree at Manatee Community College.  Applicants must be employees in good standing and have a special financial need.  Monies awarded from the Burruss Scholarship would be in addition to standard Tuition Reimbursement rates.  All applications will be reviewed by the Educational Reimbursement Committee on a monthly basis.
