Sarasota Memorial inducted four new staff members into its 2011 Black History Month Hall of Fame this month. Each year during this special month, the Sarasota County Public Hospital Board and health system officials honor a select group of African-American employees who are role models for excellence at the organization and in the community.
Here are this year’s honorees, along with some words of praise from the colleagues and managers who nominated them for our Hall of Fame:
The Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony was held at the hospital board’s meeting Feb. 22. A concluding celebration of Black History Month is being held today in the hospital cafeteria. Congratulations and many thanks to our new Hall of Famers and Black History Month Planning Committee members!
