SARASOTA, FL – Sarasota Memorial Health Care System recently appointed a new chief operating officer and interim chief financial officer.
David Verinder, who has served as the health system’s chief financial officer since 2006, was named chief operating officer. As COO, Verinder will be responsible for Ambulatory Services, Radiology, Laboratory, Supply Chain Management, Biomedical Engineering, Hospitality Services, Physician Services, Inc.’s operations and the Physician Hospital Organization. He also will oversee the organization’s construction projects.
William Woeltjen, who previously served as treasurer for Sarasota Memorial, was named interim chief financial officer. Before joining the health system in 2007, Woeltjen, a Certified Public Accountant, served as corporate chief financial officer for University Community Health in Tampa.
