Can an apple a day really keep the doctor away? There’s age-old wisdom in that common adage, but since then, science has proven a multitude of health benefits that can be achieved through nutritional therapy. Indeed, most of today’s chronic health challenges – obesity, diabetes, high blood pressure and cholesterol, and heart disease – can be influenced by what we eat, our activity level and how we handle stress.
That’s where Sarasota Memorial’s Outpatient Nutrition Program can help. Whether your goal is to lose weight, address a health concern or simply live well, Sarasota Memorial’s nutrition and lifestyle coaches provide the education and support you need to change old habits and meet personal wellness goals.
Eating Healthier for Life
People seek nutritional counseling for a variety of reasons. There are medical nutrition therapies available to help people manage or reduce risks for heart disease, hypertension, cancer diabetes, kidney disease, digestive disorders and much more.
