The Epilepsy Center at Sarasota Memorial Health Care System To help those that suffer with epilepsy and other seizure disorders completely control their seizures and reach their full potential in life is the goal of the Epilepsy Center of Sarasota Memorial.

The region's only comprehensive seizure disorders center, the Epilepsy Center at Sarasota Memorial offers a specialized inpatient unit dedicated entirely to the diagnosis and treatment of epilepsy and other seizure disorders.

Taking A Multi-Specialty Team Approach Led by nationally recognized epileptologists Julio Cantero, MD, and Leonie van Passel, MD, the only board-certified neurologists with fellowship training in epilepsy and seizure disorders in Southwest Florida, the Center's multi disciplinary team includes:

The Center's program encompasses:

• In- and out-patient evaluation and treatment

Epilepsy Support Group

Sarasota Memorial offers an Epilepsy Support Group for individuals and families affected by epilepsy and other seizure disorders. The group meets 12:30-1:30 p.m. on the third Tuesday of each month at the Institute for Advanced Medicine, 5880 Rand Blvd., located 1/2 mile west of Interstate 75 off Clark Road.
