When hips, knees, shoulders and spines sustain disabling injuries or wear out over time, Sarasota Memorial’s Total Joint Center offers the latest surgical and nonsurgical treatments to repair and rebuild the body’s intricate joints. Our 36-bed Orthopedics Unit offers spacious private rooms that are healing and high-tech, with many of the comforts of home, including flat-screen TVs, free wireless Internet access and a private alcove for overnight guests.
Our team of Orthopedic Surgeons, Anesthesiologists, Orthopedic Nurses, Physical and Occupational Therapists, Pain Management Specialists, Case Managers and Care Navigators work together seamlessly to ensure the best surgical outcomes and rehabilitation. Many of our physicians have come to us from the best teaching hospitals in the nation. Collectively, they perform more than 4,500 Orthopedic and Neurosurgical procedures annually and provide specialized rehabilitation to more than 10,000 people each year.

If surgery is necessary, Sarasota Memorial offers pre-operative education classes for people undergoing spine surgery or joint surgery. The pre-operative classes help you understand what to expect before, during, and after your surgery.
