Sarasota Memorial's Health Care Center at Blackburn Point provides an array of convenient medical services to southern Sarasota, Osprey, Nokomis, Venice, Englewood and surrounding communities. 

Like all of our specialty campuses, Blackburn Point sets the standard for quality healthcare, bringing first-class outpatient services to the places where our patients live, while keeping them closely linked with Sarasota Memorial Hospital. 

Radiology/Imaging Services

Imaging services at Blackburn Point are conveniently located on the first floor. Patients must have a valid order for imaging from a physician. To verify insurance coverage for the service, please call your insurance provider. Hours are Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Full-service Laboratory Testing

The Blackburn Point campus also offers blood draw and general lab testing services. Walk-ins are welcome for lab services with a physician's order. To verify insurance coverage of the services, please call your insurance provider. Hours are Monday - Friday, 6:30 am to 4:30 pm.

Primary, Specialty, Pediatrics & Family Care

Backed by the strength and integrity of Sarasota Memorial Health Care System, First Physicians Group offers primary and specialty medical care in several locations. The Blackburn Point location in Osprey is staffed with Internal Medicine and Pediatrics board-certified physicians, who provide continuing comprehensive healthcare for individuals and families—from pediatrics through geriatrics. Pain Management Program 

Sarasota Memorial's Pain Management Program at the Health Care Center at Blackburn Point comprises a team of medical experts who provide interdisciplinary, comprehensive pain management services. Our pain care team works with each patient to develop an individualized treatment plan that allows for increased function ability and quality of life. The team comprises board-certified Pain Medicine physicians, registered and licensed practical nurses, and radiology technicians. The program offers a wide range of services, from conservative medication management to advanced interventional procedures. Diabetes Treatment Services

Diabetes patients will find support, motivation, education and the tools they need to make lifestyle changes to maintain optimum blood sugar control and prevent complications. Sarasota Memorial's outpatient diabetes education program is one of only 600 programs in the United States to receive recognition from the American Diabetes Association. This free diabetes education class is offered at the Blackburn Point Health Care Center as a monthly group session (excluding summer months) to discuss hot topics in diabetes management from certified diabetes educators or guest speakers. Anticoagulation Clinic

Heart Failure Clinic

Sarasota Memorial's Heart Failure Clinic is an outpatient program that provides heart failure patients and their families with comprehensive education, symptom management and monitoring to strengthen their cardiovascular health and improve their quality of life.
