SMH Welcomes New Pain Care Doctors
Sarasota Memorial welcomes Eugene Pereira, MD, and Lindsay Shroyer, MD, to its care team.

The pain care physicians join an interdisciplinary team of pain management specialists who offer customized rehabilitation, treatment, medications and interventional procedures at Sarasota Memorial's four Pain Care Centers. Pereira is board certified in Anesthesiology/Pain Medicine and Shroyer is board certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation/Pain Medicine.

HealthSquare – July 2014 Events
Join our staff at Sarasota Memorial HealthSquare in the center of Westfield Sarasota Square for free health presentations and FootNotes, a book club featuring mall walks and health education discussions with SMH experts.

FollowMyHealth Patient Portal Demonstration: 12-3pm Mon., July 7: If you’ve ever been a patient at Sarasota Memorial, sign up today for our secure, online patient portal, a new online tool that allows you secure, 24/7 access to your individual and/or family’s personal medical information, including future test and lab results. A current, state or federally issued photo ID is required.

Footnotes: 2-3:30 pm Fri., July 18: This month’s book club feature is After Cancer Treatment: Heal Better, Faster, Stronger by Julie Silver, with a discussion on regaining strength and function after cancer treatment by Physical Therapist Sheryl Ireland.

Hurricane Preparedness & Your Health: 1-2 pm Wed., July 23: Tips to help people with cardiac and pulmonary health challenges prepare for a storm, including how to pre-register for shelters that support special medical needs.

Home Care for Neurological Disorders
Sarasota Memorial/BayCare Home Care nurses will discuss clinical care available in the home for people with neurological disorders at this month’s Parkinson’s Wellness Club meetings.

School Sports Physicals – Just $20
Sarasota Memorial is offering $20 school sports physicals at its five urgent care centers (conveniently located in Sarasota, Venice and Manatee) throughout the summer.

The centers are open 8 am-8 pm daily, including most holidays. No appointments necessary.
