Sarasota Memorial and Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida (BCBSF) have expanded their insurance agreement, making Sarasota Memorial’s three urgent care centers an in-network option for members effective Sept. 15, 2011. The expanded agreement builds off the existing inpatient, outpatient and physician services that Sarasota Memorial has been providing to BCBSF members living in Sarasota and the surrounding region for almost 20 years, and adds a valuable new service for those who want to avoid the higher cost of an emergency care.
