You're Invited! Free Community Open House! Sarasota Memorial Emergency Care Triage
Saturday, November 4, 2006 from 1-4 p.m.   ▪   1700 S. Tamiami Trail
Waiting in the emergency room can be a time filled with stress and anxiety. So we've created an environment that's as comforting as our care. Join us as we celebrate the grand opening of our newly redesigned Emergency Care Center triage area. Music by the Florida West Coast Symphony, an 800-gallon aquarium filled with tropical fish from Mote Marine, soothing "bubble wall" fountains, and even rotating interactive exhibits from G. Wiz, thanks to our community partners. We'll have free refreshments, give-aways, tours and opportunities to meet the doctors and staff who care for our community.

Special thanks to the Sarasota Memorial Health Care Foundation, Inc. and donors!
We are especially grateful for the efforts by the foundation and for the generosity of donors supporting the  EMERGENCY CARE 24/7 We're Always Here capital campaign, which has committed nearly $7 million to date to help us remain the benchmark for emergency care in our community. smhf.org

Hospital Awarded $1 Million Grant

$1 million Sudakoff grant helps bring new diagnostic & treatment options to local heart patients.
The Roberta Leventhal Sudakoff Foundation awarded a $1 million grant to help Sarasota Memorial Health Care System acquire a new, cutting-edge cardiac catheterization-electrophysiology system to help doctors better diagnose and treat irregular heartbeats and prevent heart attacks. The system will allow Sarasota Memorial to provide a state-of-the-art testing environment that expands patients’ diagnostic and treatment options, replaces catheterization equipment that is nearing 10 years old and reduces capacity issues that result in scheduling delays. The system also will help attract and retain highly trained physician specialists searching for communities with hospitals that provide the latest technology to help diagnose and treat their patients. »Learn more
