Sarasota Memorial Sets Health Care Benchmark
in U.S.News & World Report
For the fourth consecutive year, Sarasota Memorial Hospital has been recognized for clinical excellence in the prestigious U.S. News & World Report’s annual “Best Hospitals” list. For 2007, the hospital ranks among America’s 50 best hospitals in Cancer and Geriatric Care. Out of 5,462 hospitals, only 3 percent are ranked in one or more of the 16 specialties in this years America's Best Hospitals issue. “Were delighted to be listed among the nation’s best hospitals for the fourth year in a row, and again in more than one specialty,” said Sarasota Memorial CEO Gwen MacKenzie. “Our doctors, nurses, researchers and staff are committed to providing the same level of care our patients expect from the nation’s very best hospitals, and this is a testament to that dedication.”
