Assessing Your Family’s Genetic Risk
Sarasota Memorial Institute for Cancer Care

Though only 5-10 percent of cancers are hereditary, it is important to identify people with inherited susceptibility to cancer. In many cases, they can take steps to reduce their risk or prevent cancer from occurring. Sarasota Memorial offers the only genetic cancer screening program in Sarasota County. The program provides people with the most current research about hereditary breast, ovarian and colon cancer and guidelines for screening and treatment. Physician referrals are not required.
For information, call (941) 917-2005.
