Sarasota Memorial Spotlight
Weight Loss Tops 2006 Resolutions
About
45 percent of American women this year say losing weight tops their New
Year's
resolutions. But according to a Harris Interactive Study, nearly all (97
percent) believe they will need help maintaining their resolve. Indeed, if
history repeats itself, most will fall off the weight-loss wagon before
spring. "Changing your eating habits and adding exercise is work ...
and it can be frustrating because the results don't happen overnight," says
Sarasota Memorial Chief of Staff Reuben Holland, MD. "So when your resolve
begins to falter, it’s important to remember the benefits should not just be
counted in the number of pounds gained or lost. They also should be measured
in terms of overall health and well-being.”
For those who need a little help, Sarasota Memorial offers a number of
nutrition and fitness programs to jumpstart - and help you maintain - a
healthier lifestyle, including:
•
Eating Healthy for Life
•
Weight Loss for clinically obese
•
Exercise & Circuit Training |
