Oncology Rehabilitation for Cancer Survivors
Sarasota Memorial offers a comprehensive rehabilitation program to help cancer survivors physically and emotionally heal from the side effects of chemotherapy, radiation, surgery or other cancer therapy.
Participants’ care teams comprise oncology-trained physical, occupational and speech therapists, as well as an oncology nurse navigator. This multi-disciplinary team can help patients manage a variety of cancer treatment-related conditions and their symptoms, including pain, weakness, cognitive impairment or other issues that often follow cancer treatment.
The evidence-based, custom rehabilitation treatments focus on improving not only symptoms, but also personal wellness and quality of life through nutrition, exercise, relaxation, education and other wellness services. For more information, call 941-917-7827.
