Facilitated by an SMH registered dietitian and certified diabetes educator, the 10-month-long PreventT2 program will teach participants how to lose weight, eat healthy, be more active, manage stress, stay motivated and overcome the obstacles that can get in the way of healthy lifestyle changes. The small group setting offers a supportive environment as participants are sharing similar experiences and the same goals.
PreventT2 participants will meet weekly for four months of interactive learning, followed by six months of monthly support meetings to help them stay on track with fitness, healthy eating and weight loss.
If you’re at risk for prediabetes, making modest lifestyle changes now—like eating healthier, being more active, and reducing stress—can help you avoid making the much bigger life changes that come with managing Type2 diabetes. Research shows that such modest behavior changes can reduce the risk of developing Type 2 diabetes by 58 percent in those who are at high risk for developing this disease.
Enroll in PreventT2 to start on the road to healthier living.
