Sarasota County Public Hospital District

b. Public Purpose:
The District is empowered to construct, equip, operate and maintain, both within and beyond the boundaries of the District, hospitals and all manner of other health care facilities and all manner of other health care services that promote the public health and the health care needs of those members of the public served by the Sarasota County Public Hospital Board. The establishment and operation of such hospitals and health care facilities and services is the public purpose of the District.
